Bhoot Bhavish Bartaman by Mehool Parekh

Title: Bhoot Bhavish Bartaman
Author: Mehool Parekh

The story is about a murder case solved by Bartman an army man with help of Robin a journalist. Author narrates past of the victim and  present of case investigation in alternate chapters. In present, police men of Pune finds a dead body of Rupali in brutal way. Even though the case looks straight for police men, Bartman and Robin feels there is zigzag puzzle in the case. Is the case really zigzag or it is just imagination?

In background, Rupali comes from a lower middle class family and wants to become rich and settle. In the way to become rich, what all she has done? Did she take correct path? Is it her own deeds caused brutal murder?
Review: I felt the author could not make enough interest in depiction of murder case apart from Robin and Bartman think it is not normal.
Narration is in good pace and interesting. Even though the novel is about a girl who uses her sexuality to get her works to be done, there is no erotic story. So the author had to give words and judgements directly in words than showing in narration. Overall, it has been very interesting read.
